Diamondbacks Extend Win Streak to 5 With a 12-3 Win Over the Phillies

The bat’s remained hot from Monday night’s win as the Diamondbacks put on an offensive clinic by defeating the Philadelphia Phillies by a final score of 12-3 as they now have improved their win streak to 5 games.

The runs got going in the second inning as the team put up five runs to begin the ball game. Rookie Corbin Corral has made a name for himself already in his first two games playing as he hit an RBI Single to start it off along with a two run RBI double to end the night. He already has 5 RBI’s in 2 games to begin his young career.

Another promising young player for the Diamondbacks Jake McCarthy might of been the offensive MVP of the game as he generated 5 RBI’s for the night including a 3 run homer that put the Diamondbacks up 8-0 in the fourth inning which put the game out of hand early. The young core of McCarthy, Corral and Alek Thomas who also had an RBI double tonight could bold well for the teams future moving forward.

Diamondbacks starting pitcher Zach Gallen pitched an absolute gem. Gallen went six innings allowing 0 earned runs, 2 hits and 7 strikeouts. Gallen continues his stellar season by earning his 10th win and has an ERA under 2.70.

The Diamondbacks ended the game with 17 hits with 10 of them coming in the first four innings. They hope the bats stay hot in hopes to come away with the series sweep tomorrow night back home in Chase Field to push their win steak to 6 games. First pitch begins at 6:40 P.M.
